Bullers Of Buchan
Puffins
At the Bullers of Buchan, colourful puffins return each spring to breed among the dramatic sea cliffs. Often called the “clowns of the sea,” these small but determined seabirds spend most of their lives far out on the North Atlantic, returning to land only for the breeding season. Watching them dart above the waves with beaks full of sand eels is always a special sight—and one of the true highlights of Scotland’s wild coastline.
