Pine Marten

Hidden among Scotland’s ancient woodlands, the pine marten is one of the country’s most elusive mammals. Agile, curious and mainly active around dusk and dawn, it moves effortlessly through the trees in search of food. Catching sight of its rich chestnut coat and distinctive cream-coloured bib is a rare and memorable Scottish wildlife encounter.
